Fresno City's Connor Brogdon allowed just a hit and one earned run over 6 1/3 innings as the Rams beat Reedley 7-3 in a Central Valley Conference baseball opener Tuesday at John Euless Park.
Brogdon struck out four and gave up two runs total while improving to 3-0 for Fresno City (6-2, 1-0), which took an early lead on a two-run single by Logan Poisall in the first inning. R.J. Hartmann added a two-run double in the seventh.
Christian Funk, Harley Glines and Zac Taylor also drove in a run each for the the Rams.
The teams next meet in Reedley at 6 p.m. Thursday.
