It is extremely encouraging have a president who honestly cares about the people in our country. I am an individual with numerous disabilities who believes that caring for one another is the strength of this land for all of us.
Since I must have help with everything, I see how people help me with such things as feeding and dressing. Even though these individuals are paid very little, some are extremely dedicated to seeing that I have a good and productive life. They care for me as a person.
Even though I have cerebral palsy and need a power chair to get around town, when I meet people, I always grin and say, “Hello.” Having a speech defect makes it difficult for people to understand me, but, if we both work together on it, we have nice conversations. I care about the people I meet.
It could be better in the world if we merely care about the other people in our lives.
