Seth’s father did little to protect him

In response to Glenn Hurst’s letter as to who is responsible regarding Seth Ireland’s tragic death (letter Feb. 13), I also have a question. “Why?”

Why this legal battle to enrich the father, who in my opinion, did very little, if anything, to protect his son?

Social services can only do so much; they cannot be with these children 24/7. I am sure they do the best they can with the funds and manpower they are allotted.
