According to Webster’s Dictionary a drought is: 1. A prolonged period of dryness. 2. Chronic shortage of something.
In this case it is water. Why then is a gigantic building project going on at the corner of Friant Road and Audubon Drive and also a huge apartment complex on Chestnut Avenue between Shepherd and Teague avenues?
Do these developments not need water? I am certain that they will and just where is this going to come from?
My yard has been dead now for what will be the second summer and I have lost trees, as have my neighbors. It is very disgusting to see all this building going on and I have to take a three-minute shower.
There is something very wrong here and the homeowner is the one who is suffering the most.
The big guys will be the first to scream bloody murder when they have no water. The Fresno City Council needs to make this right and put a moratorium on building anything that needs water until this drought has ended.
