Entitled “Congressman Devin Nunes Legislative Update ENERGY,” it might more appropriately be labeled a campaign flyer. It crossed the boundary using judgment descriptions as “Mistake” regarding California’s gas tax to update our deteriorating roads and “the most extreme” regarding environmental organizations. Constituent meetings and just the facts in official communications would better serve.
Has he considered the possibility of moving to North Dakota as he touts its wonders while denigrating California where unlimited oil drilling is resisted? Never is there any indication that oil extraction spills/accidents do not stay just in the drilling area, not even in Alaska where the Congressman advocates only a small area would be affected. Nor does he mention that Florida, where the president has his resort, is exempt from such drilling.
Oh yes, in tiny, tiny print – perhaps the size of the overlooked info the Republicans claimed to be missing in the FISA court application brouhaha they created – it says: “This mailing was prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense.”
