Water conservation: costly not to do anything and costly if we do something. I’m originally from the southwest county (south of Easton) and I am amazed at the newly prepared land that had been fallow for many years. Why?
Don’t get me wrong. I would much rather see farming use our water. It should help keep costs down at the store. The current quality of the store produce is inferior. Where does our produce go?
Incentive programs. Our city is “financially struggling.” We have rebates for efficient toilets. How about grass removal? How about for pool covers? Hot water recirculating pumps?
I plan on having a semi-green lawn. How do I justify this?
I am actively conserving water. Drip irrigation. New toilets. Recently purchased a high quality pool cover. I won’t let trees die nor invite pests because they are stressed. We need our trees to help keep down pollution and cool the city. We need some landscaping around our homes to keep temperatures down.
So do not hate me nor report me. I am actively doing my part. Are you?
