Letters to the Editor

What kind of example are we?

America should recognize the Armenian genocide regardless of our military ties with Turkey.

What kind of example would America be setting as a nation if we don’t recognize the Armenian genocide? We might as well tell the world that murder is fine and that we won’t stop it from happening again.

The U.S. needs to face the fact that Turkey has to own up to its mistakes, even if it will cost us military power. Even if we do lose our bases in Turkey, America will remain one of the strongest — if not the strongest — world powers.
