On April 8, the Clovis City Council rejected a care-home facility in a neighborhood because the neighbors said it would lower their home values and any other reason to not have it in their back yard.
Shame on both parties, the neighbors for their “we are better than other parts of town,” and the council for giving in to them.
A neighborhood in south Clovis complained about a shooting range near them and the council let it stay after getting some remodeling completed.
So here is an idea, give the neighbors who complained about the care facility the firing range, and let the south Clovis neighbors have the care facility.
Honestly, how can people be so heartless about having a facility near them that someday they may need to use?
