This past Sunday (April 12), there was to have been an informal discussion at the Fresno affiliate of a national outdoor equipment and supplies retailer. The discussion was to have been about management of our local National Forest lands.
But a protest group raised such a furor that the store manager decided to cancel the event out of concern for public safety.
The person at the microphone who started off the protest was none other than Fresno City Council Member Steve Brandau.
Some of the protestors were attacking the business firm for having sponsored the planned discussion

I wonder how Mr. Brandau can justify helping to promote a protest which suppresses open discussion and which discourages patronage of a local business?
