Indiana: Live and let live

Regarding that crazy Indiana business: I can’t really see the point of the controversy.

Would a shopkeeper refuse to wait on or sell to an adulterer, deadbeat dad, rapist, thief, liar, gossiper, hater, etc. — or, gasp, a hypocrite — all objectionable forms of behavior? Most likely not, even though he or she, as a Christian, certainly would not condone such things. Then why refuse a gay person? Ku Klux Klan? Black Panther?

Let’s not get ridiculous. If you’re there to serve the public, serve the public as long as they don’t shove it in your face about who they represent in an effort to make you feel threatened.

Finally, how would you even know about people’s private beliefs unless they made a point of telling you just to make you look like a bigot? Those who are making the most noise about others being intolerant are proving themselves to be the intolerant ones. As far as society goes, live and let live.
