Dear Me: Advice for your 18-year-old self

Graduations are coming up soon. Commencement speakers and well-wishers will be giving lots of advice for life. Imagine for a moment yourself at age 18. Think about the lessons you learned the hard way. What advice would you give that teen to make life ahead easier, better, smarter?

Buy real estate around Woodward Park?

Visit your mother more?

Always service your car on schedule?

Listen more, talk less?

Buy one quality suit every year for work?

Don’t buy on credit?

Study abroad for a year and become fluent in Spanish?

Always use birth control?

Don’t get married until you’re 30?
