Kudos to the State Board of Parole Hearings for granting parole to James Schoenfeld (Bee article, April 2). After many years of incarceration, a prodigious injustice has been rectified for his role in kidnapping bus driver Ed Ray, 26 children and burying them alive in a Livermore quarry.
My question is: What took them so long? By this time, those kids have surely gotten over it.
Accordingly, I propose that Charles Manson be released as well. Similarly, the Tate and LaBianca families have had enough time do deal with Charlie’s malfeasance. After all, a guy with a swastika carved into his forehead can’t be all that bad.
