Alternate between farmers, salmon

We have been learning about Chinook salmon, the San Joaquin River and the effects of the California drought.

All the water from the San Joaquin should not be designated to only one situation, but it should instead be shared between both the fish and farmers of California.

To do this, we should alternate between giving water to the farmers and the salmon. By distributing a good amount of water to both sides, neither side will have to suffer lack of water. Both salmon and farming are important, therefore keeping both healthy would lead to a better impact than letting one or the other die off.

I hope, in the future, we will find a solution that will leave a positive effect on both ends of the situation.
