In response to Rose Rowe’s question, “Do we really need these very large and extremely noisy jets flying over our houses and hurting our quality of life?” in her letter to the editor (March 13): The answer is not only yes, but we need more of them.
She says the sound disrupts her conversations. Perhaps it is her own displeasure in the beautiful sound of the jets’ motors that distracts her from hearing the cost of freedom. It’s that same freedom that allows her to publicly voice her displeasure. That same freedom that if taken away would put an end to her public complaining.
She can put up with a little noise and should consider it her sacrifice to our great nation — and to those brave men and women who risk their lives every day to fly those jets that ensure our freedom.
