Here in the Valley, we know drought and its dire effects all too well.
Over the past decade, many heavy hitters (politically) have paid us a visit, former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, President Obama, to see and concur with our plight. There have been marches, press conferences, bus loads to Sacramento etc., all to bring attention to what our communities are experiencing.
We tell them, “some towns are bone dry.” Water is being trucked in for basic necessities.
Farmers who can afford to drill wells are doing so, others are going broke.
It’s no doubt that things are bad, but they will get worse.
When you hear that a press conference is being called or a trip to Sacramento, take it seriously. If you live in the Valley, it affects us all. How can this be happening in the great state of California? Perhaps a water rally is in order at Bulldog Stadium and the sooner the better.
