We often read in The Bee about the ongoing, prevailing and projected drought so I was utterly amazed while driving into Fresno to see thousands of new plants being planted along the sides of Highway 180.
Today the sprinklers were on. What part of drought don’t they understand? It would make much more sense to hardscape (cement) those areas, as they do along Arizona and New Mexico highways. The scenes, made of stone, are decorative, beautiful and amazingly drought tolerant forever!
