George Kauffman’s annual letter to The Bee (Feb. 5) praising Darwin Day was expected, if not supported. Unfortunately, he seems to be unaware of the mounting evidence challenging Darwin’s theory of evolution.
Although his rhetoric is like a preacher (shaming his opponents), who tries to browbeat other views into silence, his letter lacked any argument. At least the Brits will give evolution some credibility by adding theism to fill in the blanks.
For those seeking to think critically, I recommend Dr. Stephen Meyer’s, “Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life And The Case for Intelligent Design” and “Signature In The Cell: DNA And The Evidence for Intelligent Design” (2009). It is time to put superstition aside.
