Rats on Capitol Hill

After the events of the past few weeks, it has become abundantly clear that every Democratic vote in Congress is for sale. You need look no farther than Mary Landreau of Louisiana or Ben Nelson of Nebraska. If you hold out long enough you can get any amount of money or other goodies for your constituents in trade for your vote.

Washington, D.C., is a gigantic cesspool and 535 of the biggest rats reside on Capitol Hill. I think we should throw every one of them out and start over. How could we do worse?
