Obama/Joker posters disturb, offend reader

I was horrified to see a photo of a woman holding a placard with President Obama painted as Heath Ledger's goth Joker with the word fascism below on the front page of Sunday's Bee. I was then further appalled at an even larger grotesque photo caricature of the President above the fold in the front of the "Nation and World" section.

I realize these "protestors" are exercising their freedom of speech and are upset with government spending and proposed health care reform. The trouble I have with the photo is that at first glance it not only dehumanizes the president, it makes him out to be a monster.

However, after focusing on it a bit longer, I found it a more frightening image with hints of suppressed rage drenched in blood and death.
