Bike for health

Given that we won't be getting clean air to breathe until 2024, assuming we are among the fortunate to survive long

enough to enjoy that far-off day, there's no reason to sit back and wait until then to cut our tailpipe emissions.

Burn calories, improve your cardiovascular fitness, help the environment and enjoy the outdoors all while saving

money by participating in the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition's 2nd Annual Bike2Work Day Corporate Challenge.

On May 17, bike commuter teams representing local employer-based organizations are set to compete for prizes and

will be eligible for a commuter bike raffle. With free bus rides on FAX and Clovis Transit for bike commuters and

free bike tune-ups before the event at participating local bike shops, it's easy to get involved. Anyone can

encourage coworkers to bike as well to participate with other local employers and businesses in this fun and

spirited competition.

Leave the car at home for a day and ride to work, promote more active lifestyles, reduce traffic congestion and keep

our community healthy!

Register online at www.fresnobike.org. Participation is free.
