Boys & Girls Club offers alternatives to teens

In the face of a rising gang problem in Visalia, the Gindick Boys & Girls Club is a character-building alternative for more than 580 teenagers.

Every day at the club, these young people are developing positive relationships with adults and acting as role models for younger children. They are learning to make good life decisions, exploring future careers, developing job skills and providing service to their communities.

They are educated in leadership skills, and are taking field trips to colleges and universities around the state. They also are able to participate in various athletic activities in our gym.

Gang prevention is possible when positive alternatives are available.
