Armed and dangerous

"Armed students or teachers could have mitigated killing spree," writes Bradford Wiles in a Vision column May 6.

Let us consider for a moment: You hear gunfire. You see bodies lying on the ground. You see someone shooting. You pull your equalizer and start blazing away.

Oops! The student you just blew away was shooting at the bad guy, or someone he thought was the bad guy. Unfortunately, you just took a bullet from someone who thought you were the bad guy. Don't worry though, someone just got him. The final blackness closes over your eyes ...
