Costly ‘service’

Oh boy! More money spent for “public service.” Last year, a public entity came out and removed two healthy trees from our parking strip to do some concrete repair. It was never done, and we still have holes in the parking strip.

This year someone decided to put in a water meter. So we spent three days cleaning up that muddy mess and our household water pressure is gone. It takes two or three flushes of the toilet now.

I’m not sure I can handle too much more improvement. Go ahead and give the sheriff’s deputies their extra money for getting dressed. Then charge them a taxi rate both ways, home to headquarters, for their city tax-supported transport.
