No right to be heard

In response to Jess Smith’s letter Oct. 2: Mr. Smith and left-wingers like him need some clarification on their latest mantra of “free speech, free speech.”

As Mr. Smith states, the Constitution does indeed give us the right to free speech. It does not, however, give us the right to be heard. If AT&T, Verizon or any other company choose not to rebroadcast the garbage he obviously thrives on, that is certainly their right.

In the future, instead of whining, crying and bashing corporate America, I suggest Mr. Smith contact George Soros and have him fund a new phone company or media outlet. That’s what we call free enterprise.
