'Harder and harder'

Regarding Bonnie Erbe's commentary on lethal weapons (April 18): Every time a gun is used in the death of people, the anti-gunners crawl out of their holes. Much of the information they give is false. Of course, they don't really care about accuracy; it's anything to attain their goals.

Ms. Erbe used the term "automatic weapons." The guns used were semi-automatic, not automatic. No one in this country can buy an automatic weapon unless he or she has a federal gun license to do so.

All kinds of red flags were up, and no one at Virginia Tech did anything about it. I'm sure it will probably happen again somewhere, for some reason. Ignore it and it will go away.

No law-abiding gun owner likes to see these shootings happen. It just starts the anti-gunners all over again in trying to disarm the American public, the protectors of this country. It's getting harder and harder to do so all the time. Terrorists are one thing to guard against, but some of our own citizens are making it even more difficult.
