Discount for dishonesty

I don't know about the rest of the taxpayers, but I get upset when I see ads on television blaming the IRS for going after scofflaw tax evaders, and suggesting that those who do not pay their taxes can somehow get away with not paying all that they owe toward the costs of government.

I, and most other taxed citizens, have scraped and searched for the way to pay up, as should all who live in our country. So why should the careless or uncaring get a discount for being dishonest? They shouldn't!
