'Case closed'

These rascals at the White House explain their loss of 5 million e-mails with the excuse that it was OK to send them on their party's political activities account, making them "off-book communications" and thus not subject to the 1978 Presidential Records Act that makes destruction of official records a criminal offense.

Well, now, isn't this to admit that these deleted e-mails, including the ones regarding the hiring/firing of U.S. attorneys involved partisan "political" matters? And isn't this what the flap is all about -- that the attorneys in question came, stayed or went on the basis of shameless and blatantly partisan "political" considerations?

So even if they destroyed the e-mails, these miscreants stand self-condemned. Case closed. Long past time for some thorough White House-cleaning!
