'Lack the moral courage'

Since January, I have become increasingly disappointed in the idea of government by the people, of the people and for the people. We seem to be a great ship with no one at the helm. Our people are so concerned about useless information on Anna Nicole and Britney that they are oblivious to the fact that our country is on a collision course with history.

The politicians lack the moral courage to do what's right: Stop the war, impeach Bush, mandate electric vehicles and solar power with 100% changeover in five years, putting the needs of Earth ahead of the needs of Halliburton and Exxon, stopping the failed war on drugs.

I often think about what Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and crew who gave us our freedom would think if they could see us now. Is this the America you want it to be? If not, think about less talk and more action. Hurry, the shore is approaching!
