Students on strike

If I were a student at California State University, Fresno today, working part-time jobs or on student loans to achieve a college education and if I went to class and my teacher said, "Don't come to class tomorrow. I'll be on strike," I would be angry. Surely there are better ways to resolve differences than by short-changing the students.

Maybe the students should unionize and boycott those teachers' classes. If instructors cannot generate full teaching loads, they should not get the salaries they receive. The primary goal of our entire educational system is to educate our young people, yet they are the ones with the lowest priority.
