Power 'at any cost'

I hate to admit it, having been a longtime conservative and strong supporter of the war on terrorism, but I find myself agreeing with Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. John Murtha that the situation has become a quagmire of senseless sectarian strife, bordering on civil war.

I'm in full agreement: We need to de-fund Congress, and immediately re-deploy the "elite" failed senators and representatives back to their home territories as dog catchers or garbage collectors to do something constructive.

The latest actions of Congress bring to mind a revision of the '60s song -- "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," to "Where Have All the Brains Gone"?

It seems the Democrats are only interested in retaining political power at any cost -- including the security and future of America.

The snow job of a "new direction" only brings us closer to capitulation to radical Islam. For a sobering look at the reality of global terrorism, check out: www.terrorismawareness.org/know-about-jihad/.

Then call or write your representatives, and tell them to get their heads out of the sand and help our "freedom protectors" win this war!
