The good we do

President Bush, on his tour of Latin America, complained bitterly about the lack of gratitude these countries have expressed to him for all the money and other aid that we have so generously given them.

Over the years we have invested millions of dollars in right-wing death squads in these Latin American countries to help them get rid of such undesirables as communists, socialists, union organizers, journalists, intellectuals, wrong thinking priests and nuns, teachers, social workers, doctors, nurses and other left-leaning types, in order that these countries can better enjoy the fruits of capitalism and American-style democracy.

Some people and some countries just don't seem to appreciate all the good things that we do for them. Such ingrates!
