'Investigate the lies'

This so-called "surge" is just another lie in the constant stream of lies that this illegitimate government tells us. According to linguistics professor George Lakoff, "The word 'surge' indicates a short-term increase in force that has an effect and naturally goes back to its previous level."

This surge can go on indefinitely, like the other previous "surges" that have resulted in an escalation of violence.

Sometimes the truth hurts. The truth is that this government illegally invaded a country that was no threat to us. The U.S. military is now involved in an occupation with no plan to leave. It is building permanent military bases, and the administration wants Iraqi oil. Most of the Iraqi people (80%-plus) do not want the U.S. military to be there and a majority agree that it is just fine to kill American soldiers who are occupying their country -- just as people in the U.S. would react if our country were occupied by a foreign power wanting our resources.

Call Congress and tell them we want out of Iraq now and to investigate the lies that got us there in the first place.
