The front-page photo Jan. 30 really got to me. The "Wounded Warriors" article was a real heart-wrencher.
We all are aware of the price of war, and the monetary cost is excruciating enough. Seeing our wounded soldiers in wheelchairs, burned horribly and experiencing other sufferings is an expense we can no longer afford.
When will this end? What is the measure of lives, limbs and dignity that would count us as being victorious?
