Letters to the Editor

'A poor reflection'

I am sick and tired. So some actor on some show called another actor a name that was not that nice. Well, it might not be the nicest description, but it wasn't a lie. But everyone just had a fit about it.

Nowadays we can't say anything or voice an opinion about race, religion, gender and nationality. It's considered politically incorrect. But it seems to be just fine and dandy to call our president names.

There was a letter to the editor Jan. 29, and I believe the words she used to describe him were, "clueless, ignorant, arrogant and liar." Had these same words been said about, let's say, illegal immigrants, I am pretty sure that there would have been a rally scheduled immediately to protest.

Since when did it become OK to say such derogatory things about the leader of our country? It's a poor reflection on how some of these people were raised. There is the old saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
