'On our terms'

We are fighting a war on terror. It started when Islamic people brought it to our shores on Sept. 11, 2001 and killed nearly 3,000 people from all over the world.

I do not care that an overworked American soldier kicked or got wet a copy of the Koran. I will care when Osama bin Laden turns himself in, when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi says he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head, when Iraqi insurgents come out and fight like men, when the mindless zealots stop blowing up innocent children with their suicide bombs and when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are derived from international law instead of the Constitution's Bill of Rights.

Stop blaming a brave Marine for roughing up an Iraqi terrorist or shooting a terrorist when he makes a move toward a soldier. Stop providing special food paid for by tax dollars. Let our troops win the war on our terms, not the enemy's.
