Kudos to President Bush for his speech, Jan. 10, outlining his war plan. I admire his statement, "Mistakes have been made ... I accept responsibility." As an American citizen, I also accept responsibility for political mistakes and, like President Bush, do not acknowledge that I have personally made any.
I think his timetable for the war is most worthy of him -- things will get worse, but at some point should get better. Of course, when they don't improve, he will be out of office and the blame will rest on the Democratic Congress, the Iraqi government, his successor -- anyone but him. Brilliant!
