Here's a bit of trivia regarding the 2008 presidential hopefuls from each party that should be of special interest to the family values crowd.
The three top Democrats, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barak Obama have each been married once and have marriages of long standing. Their top cheerleader, Al Franken, has been married once to the same woman for more than 30 years.
On the other hand, the three top Republicans share eight marriages and in most cases, a spouse was replaced by a trophy wife: Rudy Guiliani, three marriages; Newt Gingrich, three marriages; and John McCain, two marriages. Their top cheerleader, Rush Limbaugh, is about to enter into his fourth marriage.
Do the arithmetic: 8-3.
