It seems the recent hanging of Saddam Hussein and the showing of it on the Internet has again highlighted the inability of President Bush and the U.S. government to get it right.
I seem to remember that it was a little more than 2,000 years ago in the Middle East that another government head, Pontius Pilate, had a similar situation. When Pilate saw that he was not succeeding at all, but that a riot was breaking out instead, he took water and washed his hands in the sight of the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this man's blood. Look to it yourselves."
Has President Bush requested a bowl of water to wash his hands yet?
