'Non-violent means'

The American people need to speak out against President Bush's "troop surge" idea for Iraq. This plan is just as bad as the entire notion of going to war in Iraq.

Isn't it coming from the same group that "sold" us the "weapons of mass destruction and clear links to al-Qaida and involvement in 9/11" as reasons for going to war in the first place almost four years ago? How much more money, equipment and soldiers' lives are we going to throw at this black hole created by the Bush administration? Are we not just going to further feed and fuel the raging fire of Muslim anger?

Perhaps it's time to stop seeing war as the solution and to start working on nonviolent means of spending our money and bringing peace to this part of the world.
