Not worth it

More than 3,000 soldiers and Marines have been killed. Countless more wounded. And the payoff for all this blood and pain? A new nation in our president's vision whose idea of a state execution is by men wearing masks and humiliating a condemned man as he is dying; a nation whose temperament was to do it on a Muslim high holy day.

The notion of sending more troops to support that regime would be criminal. This new Congress is there because the nation voted "no" to President Bush and "no" to Iraq. Bring the troops home. No more blood for masked executioners.
