There is no legitimacy to our occupation of Iraq. What there is is a pack of lies and slander (the attacks on the former national security adviser, a patriot by any standard, are a prime example) to obscure bald-faced colonialism.
No self-respecting people will tolerate the presence of a foreign occupation force, but as long as the resistance doesn't threaten the oil fields, and our taxes and our sons pay the price to secure their investment, the oil industry and its political lackeys have their victory.
