'Lies and distortions'

John Freitas [letter Dec. 4] deploys a typical bunch of lies and distortions in his diatribe against Israel: an out-of-context quotation from David Ben Gurion which exactly reverses its meaning, a false conspiracy theory about the 1967 attack on the U.S.S. Liberty, a distortion of the facts about the accidental death of student Rachel Corrie, and on and on.

I just have one question for Mr. Freitas and friends: When Islamic terrorists burned and crushed 3,000 Americans on 9/11, who was it that danced in the streets, fired their weapons in the air and passed out candy to children? Not Israelis.
