'To save lives'

Recently, I have experienced situations that have me questioning our society's gun-control laws. In the past couple of months I experienced a homicide, Oct. 31, while working at a night club; a man ambushing police one block from my home; and even worse, looking out the window of my college classroom at police lights and hearing the exchange of gun shots.

I don't feel safe. I propose gun control, which would involve the cessation of gun production, an end to selling guns to citizens, and mass collection and destruction of all guns.

Sound extreme? Yes, it is. Changes need to be made to save lives because we never know; a stray bullet may fly our way.
