Volunteers make quick work of library clean-up

The Visalia Library had quite a remarkable collection of spider webs on all of the windows in time for Halloween, but because of Make-A-Difference Day, that particular collection has vanished.

The library windows sparkle, the courtyard is washed, miles of shelves and tables shine and the covers of thousands of children's books have been cleaned. The Valley dust, spider webs and sticky fingerprints all vanquished in just 21/2 hours before the library opened on Oct. 28.

The library staff would like to thank project leaders Mindy and Mark Eliason and Glenn Morris for all their organization and planning, equipment and hard work. And a very big thank you to the 50 or so delightful and hard-working volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They definitely made a difference.
