I live near the Senior Citizens Village in Southeast Fresno. We have a problem in our area: The bike lane on Chestnut Avenue is horrible. Every day, it is littered with glass from large cars and trucks.
The street is well-traveled. It is very busy and the street sweepers do not come around as often as they should.
I am a bike rider. I have flattened many tires on this stretch of road, which I travel to and from work. I have utilized the road for 10 years now and it still has debris on it daily. Also, the weeds are not kept down near the railroad tracks.
On Winery and Butler avenues, there are large potholes near driveways. Many people travel these roads as well.
