'Cheapened a race'

As a long time subscriber to The Bee, I have through the years had my disagreements with some of the stances you have taken with regard to political candidates. Nevertheless, I have always felt that for the most part you have been fair with your endorsements and editorial opinions.

Now, however, it seems that an endorsement from you entitles you to give free advertising to the candidates you have endorsed. I'm referring specifically to your front-page article concerning Blong Xiong [Oct. 25]. This is more than an endorsement; it borders on propaganda. You have cheapened a race that has thus far been refreshingly free of acrimony.
