Cheney understands

Sen. John Kerry may well be best remembered as the prophet who was vilified in his own time.

Vice President Dick Cheney well understands the logic of Sen. Kerry's statement that staying in school to get an education will help keep you from being sent to Iraq. If the size of the U.S. military is increased to send more troops to Iraq, as endorsed by the Republican Sen. John McCain, a military draft would be the only way to accomplish it.

The military sometimes fails to reach the current smaller recruitment goals now. And why does Vice President Cheney understand Sen. Kerry's logic? Dick Cheney took multiple student draft deferments to keep from being sent to Vietnam by the draft for that war.
