Sen. John Kerry muffed a punchline, and in politics, that's bad. President Bush, by contrast, does not muff his punchlines. Who can forget the joke that established who he is? "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere. Nope, no weapons over here ... maybe under here?" Radio and TV correspondents roared with laughter.
What a good comedian he is. How clever to make a joke out of his reason for putting our soldiers in harm's way.
