Many years ago, I had a friend who went Christmas shopping at the mall. She put her packages in the trunk of her car and locked it. She continued her shopping for gifts. When she returned to her car, she saw the back seat had been removed and the passenger door was ajar. All of her Christmas gifts were missing.
She decided to pay it forward. She was an avid horsewoman and always cleaned her horses’ stalls. She found a very large box and a plastic bag. She put the fresh road apples in the bag and put them in the the box. She decorated with Christmas wrap and a very large red bow.
Of course, she had to do her Christmas shopping again. So she went to the mall and put the box in the middle of the back seat. She left her car unlocked. She walked away and watched her car from a distance.
About 10 minutes later, two guys opened the door, snatched the box and took off running. . All she could do was laugh and said to herself, “Merry Christmas, suckers.”
