With Thanksgiving over and Christmas right around the corner, everyone’s mind is only focused on one thing: gifts. Over the last few years, retail stores have been opening at earlier times every year, some as early as 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
This seems to be a bit ironic, because in the same day that families are supposed to be thankful for what they already have, become separated trying to find the best gift for each other.
Spending time with your family is one of the greatest gifts of all, and recently, it has been constantly overlooked year after year. Every day people should take the time to stop and think of how important those moments we spend with our families are really worth, because someday, they won’t be there to spend that time with.
What ever happened to the days where families looked forward to being able to come home just to sit down with each other and talk? Has everyone lost sight of what is most important at the holidays?
